Welcome to Shamrock Designs - Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Ian Mitchell. If you had told me five years ago that I'd develop a passion for woodworking, I would have thought you were crazy.

My journey into woodworking began in 2020 as we entered the first lockdown. Looking for a way to occupy my time, I started by building outdoor furniture for our deck using some second-hand tools. To my surprise, I discovered that I could create a wide range of things with my own hands.

My wife, Erica, and I began sharing our woodworking journey on social media and quickly realized the vast and supportive woodworking community. As our following grew, Erica found herself dedicating almost as much time to this as to her nine-to-five job, and she naturally became our Chief Marketing Officer.

Our daughter occasionally lends a hand as a consultant, which usually involves throwing sawdust in the garage or helping out with finishing touches.

During the day, I work as an HR Manager, but by night and on the weekends, you can find me in the garage, puttering around and exploring new creative projects.
