Welcome to Shamrock Designs! My name is Ian Mitchell, and I’m the founder behind this handcrafted woodworking business. If you had told me five years ago that I would develop a passion for woodworking, I would have thought you were crazy.

My journey into woodworking began in 2020 during the first lockdown, when I sought a creative outlet and started by crafting outdoor furniture for our deck using second-hand tools. To my surprise, I quickly realized I had a knack for creating beautiful and functional pieces with my own hands.

As I honed my craft, I began sharing my woodworking journey on social media, and my wife, Erica, soon joined in. With her growing dedication and passion for our business, Erica naturally took on the role of Chief Marketing Officer. Together, we’ve built a supportive and thriving community of woodworking enthusiasts.

Our daughter occasionally lends a hand in the workshop—whether it’s throwing sawdust in the garage or helping with finishing touches, she’s part of the Shamrock Designs family.
